Participants explore the physical and social-emotional benefits of mindfulness, and receive tools to develop self-awareness and ability to focus. Every workshop begins with all participants engaging in a guided mindfulness practice.
Participants learn the different styles of networking, including horizontal and vertical networking, and receive tools to network with greater confidence. Participants engage in active listening activities and practice ways to ask insightful questions.
Participants learn how to stay calm, focused, and confident during a high-stress interview. Participants practice responding to different interviewing scenarios using the industries’ gold “S.T.A.R.” framework. Participants engage in mock interviews where they're able to hear from their peers and provide constructive feedback.
Participants receive tools and resources to create a resume that can be refined throughout their post-secondary education and career journey. Throughout the workshop, they will recognize the psychological challenges and angst that come with developing a resume, and receive tools to mitigate challenges.
